Every Ring Box by Urbano Rodriguez combines original design, functional engineering, carefully selected materials and detailed hand-finishing to create a piece that is both visually distinctive and practical to use.
From the internal mechanisms to the six-layer painted finish, every detail is developed with a specific purpose.
DESIGNED & ENGINEERED
Behind the sculpted exterior of every Ring Box is an engineered internal system designed for secure, practical and flexible use.
A flexible ring holder, interchangeable inserts and an internal pressure-fit latch work together to secure the ring and lid without exposed hinges, magnets or visible hardware.
In most designs, the lid and base follow the sculpted surface, helping create a clean exterior with a discreet seam.
MATERIALS CHOSEN FOR EACH FUNCTION
Different parts of a Ring Box perform different functions, so each component is produced using the material best suited to its role.
MSLA Resin — High Detail
The sculpted exterior sections are produced in high-detail MSLA resin, allowing fine textures, surface details and complex shapes to be reproduced with precision.
PLA Plastic — Structure & Precision
Selected internal components are produced in PLA where rigidity, dimensional stability and precise mechanical fit are required.
Soft TPU — Flexibility & Protection
The flexible ring holder is produced in soft TPU, a rubber-like material that gently flexes around the ring to hold it securely while helping protect its surface from scratches.
Together, these materials allow each component to perform its specific function while preserving the detail and appearance of the finished Ring Box.
6-LAYER HAND-PAINTED FINISH
3D printing creates the form. Hand-finishing creates the final character.
After printing, curing and inspection, each Ring Box is individually hand-finished and painted through a six-layer process designed to bring out the depth, texture and sculpted details of the model.
Because every Ring Box is finished by hand, subtle variations in color and finish may occur. These small differences are part of the handcrafted process and make each piece slightly unique.

Every Ring Box passes through multiple stages — from design and engineering to 3D printing, assembly and hand-finishing.
The result is a functional piece created not only to hold a ring, but to become part of the proposal, wedding or special moment itself.
